About Us
OUR PUB
The Shakespeare was the second pub to be opened following the success of the Prince George and it retains the same ethos of offering a comfortable, well worn in local pub. It is a pretty building with a wooden bar showing all the comforting signs of patina, lovely original exterior tiles, mosaic floors and Victorian etched glass. Nestled in the back streets of Stoke Newington it has retained its local charm and is proud of being a
great example of a welcoming traditional pub complete with TVs for regular football screening, an open fire, jukebox and newly added awnings above the front terrace and rear garden for extra outdoor drinking space. Although The Shakespeare is the only pub in the group that doesn’t have an in-house kitchen, the neighbouring pizzeria is highly recommended and customers are welcome to order next door and bring your pizza into the pub to enjoy at a table with your beverage of choice.
